Why we do what we do
We've never been big fans of the typical office routine: constant noise, lots of distractions and high stress levels. We believe that work should be different. It was clear to us - we needed a safe space that everyone could afford. Spurred on by the limited offerings on the market, our founder Conradin Castell began to examine the dynamics of the industry more closely. He identified three main factors that lead to inflated prices:
- Indirect sales channels that cause multiple price mark-ups.
- A lack of functional design geared towards lean production.
- Excessive individualization, which leads to inefficient production.
Inspired by these findings, mute-labs was founded with a simple but ambitious mission: To develop high quality phone booths that remain affordable for all, allowing each of you to end your working day with a sense of achievement and confidence.
